Momentuum ("we", "our", "the bot") is operated by the Momentuum team. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use MomentuumBot on Telegram or visit our website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Momentuum, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
From your Telegram account
- Your Telegram user ID
- Your first name (as shown on Telegram)
- Your username (if you have one)
We do not access your phone number, contacts, or any other Telegram data.
From your interactions with the bot
- Job applications you log (company, role, status, dates, notes)
- Profile information you provide during onboarding (current title, skills, years of experience, target roles, work preference, industries)
- Job searches you perform
- Job links and descriptions you share for fit scoring
- Reminders you set
Automatically collected
- Timestamps of your activity
- Usage data such as how often features are used (for product improvement)
- Server logs for debugging and security
2. How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Operate the bot's core features (tracking applications, sending reminders, searching jobs, scoring fit)
- Personalise responses based on your stored profile
- Process premium subscription payments (via Paystack)
- Improve the product through aggregate, anonymised usage analysis
- Communicate with you about your account or service changes
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
Momentuum uses the following third parties to operate:
- Telegram — the messaging platform the bot runs on
- Railway — our hosting provider
- Anthropic (Claude) — used to power job fit scoring; the job description and your profile fields are sent to Anthropic to generate a score and coaching advice
- Remotive and Jobicy — public job board APIs used to fetch job listings
- Paystack — used to process premium subscription payments
Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We do not control how these third parties use data once it is transmitted to them as part of our service.
4. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you stop using the bot, we may retain your data so you can resume where you left off if you return.
You can request that we delete all your data at any time by sending a message to the bot with /deleteme or contacting us directly (see Section 9). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data:
- Encrypted database connections
- Environment variable storage for API keys and credentials
- Limited access to production systems
No system is 100% secure, however. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you not to share highly sensitive information (financial account numbers, government IDs, etc.) through the bot.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information (use
/profileand/updatein the bot) - Request deletion of your data
- Export your data (premium users can export via CSV or PDF)
- Withdraw consent and stop using the service at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.
7. Children's privacy
Momentuum is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated through the bot.
